Book Released; Rev. Dr. Koningthung Moyon Honoured for Lifetime Achievement

Chandel, May 18: A book, Women Overcoming Barriers of History and Traditions in North East India authored by Rev. Dr. Koningthung Ngoru Moyon and Dr. Wanglar Alphonsa Moyon, and published by Kavya Publications, Delhi was released on Sunday by Pastor Rev. Kh. Burin during a modest gathering at Penaching Baptist Church, Chandel.

At the event, the Penaching Baptist Church and the community also facilitated Rev. Dr. Koningthung Ngoru Moyon on achieving the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ in Theological Education and Christian Leadership, awarded by Global Icons of India Award 2025 and for receiving Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Rashtriya Samman 2025 Certificate of Excellence in the category of ‘Research and Education Excellence’ given by Global Icons of India E-Magazine, which has been honored to upholds Dr. Ambedkar’s Legacy of justice, Knowledge and Empowerment.

Rev. Kh. Burin Pastor on behalf of the Church, the Moyon community and Chandel communities applauded Rev. Dr. Koningthung Ngoru Moyon’s achievements as a scholar, researcher and author. The Congregation congratulated his remarkable accomplishments and contribution towards literature and wishes that his writing especially on history and theology may influence more people and young generations to come.
