Chandel, July 14, 2024 — The Anal Lenruwl Tangpi – General Headquarters (ALT GHQ) held its 2nd Federal Assembly for the 2023-2026 tenure on Saturday at the Mini Auditorium in Beru Unopat village, Chakpikarong subdivision. The assembly focused primarily on improving the educational system in the district.

Hosted by the ALT Western Valley Branch, the federal assembly saw participation from over 100 representatives from all units and village clubs affiliated with the union.

The assembly resolved to continue its mission of visiting all schools within its jurisdiction—private, aided, and government—to meet with heads of institutions and monitor the attendance of both teachers and students.

Additionally, the assembly called for unity among all its federating units for the welfare of the Anal Naga community, particularly the students. It also resolved to organize a general conference of the union, granting executive members the power and authority to organize the event.

As part of the assembly, Rd. Alex of Lamphoupasna, Lh. Chand, and Bs. Warthangam of Panchai villages were inducted as Speaker, Deputy Speaker, and Deputy Secretary of the Assembly Affairs, respectively, with the Speaker later chairing the meeting. Sr. Antung, Pro-tem Speaker, inducted the three.

The assembly began with a blessing prayer by Kl. Kanrang, former pastor of Unopat Baptist Church, followed by a welcome and introduction by Js. Delecson, president of the ALT Western Valley Branch. Kt. Zachariah, general secretary of ALT GHQ, also highlighted the works and achievements of the union over the past year.

The event was attended by executive members and representatives of Anal Sinnu Ruwl, ANTA, ANSAM vice president Wilpelngam Nula, NSUC president Ruwnglar Elly Anal, and former ATSUM general secretary Sr. Andria, among others who contributed valuable ideas and suggestions to the agendas.
