Chandel CSOs, 9 Naga Tribes Presidents observes ‘Prayer Service’ on the 6th Indo-Naga Framework Agreement Anniversary

The Chandel Naga Peoples’ Organization (CNPO) and its federating units Naga Women’s Union Chandel (NWUC), Naga Students’ Union Chandel (NSUC), Naga Chiefs Association Chandel (NCAC) along with Presidents of 9 Naga Tribes observed ‘Prayer Service’ in connection with the 6th observation day of Framework Agreement between Government of India (GoI) and National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN-IM) at Amity Guest House Chandel on Tuesday.

The prayer service was followed by short speech from Ws. Kanral Speaker, United Naga Council (UNC), Tepamran Maku President, Naga Women Union Chandel, Sk. Joseph President, Naga Students’ Union Chandel, Ts. Ruwngwar President, Naga Chief Association Chandel and Sng. Phamhring President, Anal Naga Taangpi.

Ruwndar David Boyes, President CNPO highlighted the historical significance of the 6th observation day of Framework Agreement between the GoI and NSCN-IM. The president also undertook the ‘Declaration of Memorandum’ under the aegis of CNPO and it’s federating units including presidents of 9 Naga tribes to be submitted to Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri. Narendra Modi. The memorandum carries the consciousness and serious voice of the CNPO and it’s federating units and tribe presidents as far as Framework Agreement is concerned for immediate and honourable solution. The memorandum is also a strong reminder to honour the Framework Agreement singed between GoI and NSCN-IM on August 3, 2015 according to press release of CNPO.

David Boyes in his concluding remark acknowledged and appreciated the prayer support extended by various churches in the district for better solution of neglected Framework Agreement. The prayer service ended with a closing hymn titled “We shall overcome” and a prayer by Ng. Gilbert, President of Sirti Upa Ruh (Monsang Tribe Union).
