Chief Minister Biren Greets People Of Manipur On Christmas Day

Imphal: Chief minister Biren Singh has extended best wishes to the people of Manipur on the auspicious occasion of Christmas.

Christmas is celebrated with great pomp and joy by billions of people all over the world, Biren stated in his message sent to the people on Thursday stressing on the message of love and forgiveness.

“As we celebrate this Holy festival, we must emulate Jesus Christ’s eternal message of love and forgiveness by opening our hearts and extending our helping hand to everyone,” he said.

Urging all to forgive one another and celebrate the spirit of Christmas, he said: “This festival also provides an opportunity for the people of the state to forget ill will and misgivings, and forgive our enemies and celebrate the spirit of Christmas”.

Making a clarion call for peace against the backdrop of poll related violence, Biren said, “The season of Christmas is the season to make friends. Let us make the most of it. Once again, I wish the people of Manipur a very Merry Christmas and pray that the season of love and joy ushers in an era of peace, harmony and prosperity in this beautiful state of ours”.
