UKHRUL: The Naga Students’ Union, Delhi (NSUD) has announced the results of its 2026–2027 elections, with Chipika Zhimo elected as president of the Union.
The Election Commission declared the results on July 25 following the election held at Nagaland State Guest House, R.K. Puram, New Delhi.
According to the notification, Yurngam A. Shimray was elected general secretary, L Chakho as vice president, Mazhu Trakha as finance secretary, Penshakning Chara Moyon as women affairs secretary, and Swuyekhrulu Nakro as public relations secretary.
For the Assembly Affairs wing, P Akubou was elected speaker.
The Election Commission also declared several posts vacant due to the non-receipt of valid nominations.
The vacant Executive Council posts include Assistant General Secretary, Social and Cultural Secretary, Assistant Social and Cultural Secretary, Assistant Public Relations Secretary, Games and Sports Secretary, Assistant Games and Sports Secretary, and Property Secretary.
In the Assembly Affairs wing, the posts of deputy speaker, assembly secretary and assembly deputy secretary also remain vacant.
The Election Commission said elections to the vacant posts will be notified in due course.
