Christians Observe Good Friday with Worship and Lord’s Supper

SENAPATI: Christians across the world observed Good Friday on April 3. Marking the occasion, the Mao Baptist Church Song Song also held a solemn worship service which included the observance of the Lord’s Supper and prayer by the congregation.

The sermon was delivered by Rev. Chiluyio, Pastor of MBC Song Song, who spoke on the meaning of Christ’s suffering and sacrifice, drawing from Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

On the occasion, Good Friday greetings were also extended to the everyone, with prayers that the message of Christ’s sacrifice would inspire peace, healing, and reconciliation. Church members expressed hope that the spirit of forgiveness and compassion reflected on Good Friday would guide people towards unity and lasting peace.
