CM N Biren lays foundation stone of 50-bedded hospital for Noney District, Budget at 3.50 cr

Noney: A one day political conference of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) 54-Nungba (ST) AC was organized by BJP Nungba Mandal with mammoth gathering at Longmai Common, Noney district headquarters today. The programme was graced by chief minister N Biren Singh as the chief guest and Adhikarimayum Sharda Devi, president BJP Manipur Pradesh as guest of honour respectively .

Before the political conference was held, foundation stone was laid for the construction of 50-bedded pre-fabricated Field Hospital with a project costs of Rs 3.50 crore by N Biren Singh at Longmai Part – 1, under Noney district headquarters.

Traditional dances of different tribes and modern songs were performed by different cultural troupes and singers. The guest singers James Riamei and Thangmeisho Shinglai enthralled and mesmerised the mammoth crowd.

The welcome speech was addressed by Gaidon Kamei, special invitee, State Executive Committee BJP Manipur Pradesh who is an intending BJP candidate in the upcoming 12th general election 2022. As part of the programme, a warm reception for new joinees to the BJP fold coming from INC, NPF and LJP was held. They were garlanded with BJP mufflers and caps by N Biren and BJP State president .

Chief minister N Biren also distributed more than 1400 PM-ABJAY and CMHT cards to the beneficiaries of Noney district. Makuphun Rongmei, president, BJP Nungba Mandal gave a party organisation’s progress and achievements report of Nungba Kendra.

The programme was also attended by maharaja Leishemba Sanajaoba, MP (Rajya Sabha), Meinam Bhorot Singh, former president, BJP Manipur Pradesh, Th Yumjao Singh, BJP senior leader incharge Tamenglong district and other cabinet ministers, MLAs of Manipur and other Morcha/cell leaders of BJP Manipur Pradesh and BJP workers of Tamenglong and Noney districts attended in the large gathering.
