CM N Biren: Petrol and Diesel to get cheaper by 4 rupees in Manipur

Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh Saturday announced that the state government has decided to cut petrol and diesel prices by 4 rupees each per liter. The revised petrol price in will be Rs 102 and 36 paise per litre and diesel will be Rs 90 and 64 paise.

The announcement was made by CM N Biren at the felicitation ceremony of the five Tokyo 2020 Olympians from Manipur.

The five Olympians are, silver Olympic medalist in Weighlifting, Saikhom Mirabai Chanu, boxer MC. Mary Kom, Judoka Likmabam Sushila, Hockey players Pukhrambam Sushila and Shanglakpam Nilakanta.

The event was organised by Youth Affairs & Sports Minister, Letpao Haokip at the indoor stadium of Khuman Lampak Sports Complex. Speaking at the grand event, CM N Biren assured, as per the announcement, an official notification on the slashing of fuel rates will be issued soon.

The five Tokyo 2020 Olympians were awarded with cash and presented job appointment letters to Judoka Sushila and Hockey players Nilakanta and Sushila on the occasion.

Tokyo Olympics silver medalist was appointed as Adl. superintendent of Police (Sports) in July during her arrival in Manipur from Tokyo after her wining the silver medal.
