CM N Biren Singh and DGP Manipur Police visits Arvind Kumar ADGP

Mubasir Raji | Imphal, July 19: Chief Minister N Biren Singh visited Raj Medicity hospital situated at North AOC Imphal and he has been briefed about the condition of ADGP Arvind Kumar. Mr. Arvind Kumar shot himself on Friday.

After his visit, Chief Minister N. Biren Singh briefed the meida and said, “A team of highly skilled doctors at Raj Medicity apprised me on the condition of Shri Arvind Kumar, IPS, ADGP (L&O), Manipur Police who was critically injured in an unfortunate incident yesterday in is office quarter. He will be taken to AIIMS, Delhi by an Air Ambulance today.”

L. M. Khaute, DGP, Manipur Police also briefed the media outside Raj Medicity AOC before the CM’s arrival on Arvind Kumar’s health condition. The DGP said, “his condition is stable and the doctors are trying their best. All necessary medical measures to stabilize his conditon has been met with great efforts from medial team”.

On asking the DGP whether or not he was under any depression on his last meeting with the ADGP, the DGP said, “we met a few days back”, saying “he is a fine officer and that he seemed normal”.
