“The reason why it is because the BJP realises that despite their short term electoral wins based on propaganda and right wing fundamentalists, it is very clear that they are still insecure about remaining in power because they are very sure about the presence of the Gandhi family and the Congress at high value in every single soul of the people of India and state of Meghalaya,” he added.

Further, Mathew informed the political executive meeting as decided by the AICC passed the resolution on Pahalgam terror attack.

“We unanimously resolved to support the Government of India against this horrific terror attack and take action against these people, who have caused this pain and immense injury to the people of our country.”

He said the meeting also resolved to condole the death of His Holiness Pope Francis, “who is one of a kind a peacemaker in this era, which we all have witnessed”.

The Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) under the leadership of CLP leader Ronnie V Lyngdoh also met the Roman Catholic head here in Meghalaya Archbishop Victor Lyngdoh.
