Covid-19: At 554, Manipur sees decline in new cases, lowest in June, 15 deaths in 24 hrs

As many as 554 new Covid-19 cases were detected in Manipur, the lowest in June, taking the total culminative tally to 59322, while the death toll has touch 959 with 15 more fatality on Saturday, the state health department informed.

In the past 24 hours, 15 persons died due to COVID-29 related health complications. Among them four were from Imphal West, three each from Imphal East and Thoubal, two each in Churachandpur and Bishnupur, one in Kakching.

Out of the 7958 COVID-19 test results, 171 positive cases were from Imphal West, 118 from Imphal West, 73 from Thoubal as the top three highest daily new positive cases among the districts in Manipur.

The Health department reported 35 in Bishnupur district, 54 in Churachandpur, 19 from Kakching, 21 in Jiribam, 17 in Senapati, 14 in Chandel, 7 in Tamenglong, 1 in Ukhrul, 10 in Tengnoupal, 2 in Pherzawl. Kamjong district reported zero case on Saturday.
