COVID-19 recovery rate of Manipur further improves to 93.11%

Discharge of 133 patients after recovering from COVID-19 in a span of 24 hours against 38 fresh cases put the disease’s recovery rate of Manipur to 93.11% on Monday.

The daily update report on COVID-19 of the state Health department showed detection of 38 fresh cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the overall caseload to 27,684.

The overall caseload included 25,779 recoveries which included 3,153 CAPF personnel and 1,392 active cases. The active cases included 176 CAPF personnel.

The 38 fresh cases (18 males and 20 females) were all from the general population and no COVID-related death was recorded in the state on Monday, as per the update report. 

The fresh positive cases from the general population were Imphal West (14), Imphal East (9), Thoubal (4), Bishnupur (5), Kakching (1) and Churachandpur (5).

Of the 133 recoveries in the last 24 hours, 29 were CAPF personnel and two were from home isolation.

All the fresh cases were locally contracted cases as authorities of the health department found any of them having significant travel history in the recent time.
