COVID Care Centre in Tamenglong to re-open from May 3

Tamenglong District Administration announced to re-open 100 bedded Covid Care Centre (CCC) at Tamenglong Higher Secondary School, Tamenglong HQ. According to the notice issued by DC Tamenglong, Armstrong Pame IAS, any Positive Person whose house or residents does not have proper amenities like separate bathroom, kitchen, toilet, etc may make use of the CCC. Dedicated Medical Team will be stationed at the Centre to look after the patient however, fooding will have to be taken care of by their respective families, source said.

From next District Task Force Meeting which is to be held on May 3rd, more stringent Covid measures will be taken up. The said meeting will be chaired by Awangbow Newmai, Forest & Environment Minister and District In charge of Tamenglong District, source said.

The notice also mentioned that from May 1st onwards, all shops in District Head Quarter should be closed latest by 3:00 PM, daily women market including fish/meat market and Rani Market shall open on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday till 3:00 PM and anyone who come to Tamenglong from other State have to be Home Quarantine for atleast 10 days.
