CSOs in Chandel district announces lockdown from May 12, 4PM to May 19, 4PM in Greater Chandel: Check details

In a joint declaration issued by CSOs of Chandel Wednesday in view of the Covid-19 positive spike in the district headquarters and greater Chandel, it has been decided by four CSOs, namely Chandel Naga Peoples Organisation (CNPO), Naga Women’s Union Chandel (NWUC) and two other civil body orgainsations along with Japhou Bazaar Authority has immediately imposed lockdown in the whole areas of greater Chandel effective May 12, 4 PM till May 19, 2021, 4 PM.

What is exempted under the lockdown order:

All goods carrier vehicles including Medical Oxygen

All essential services establishments like pharmacies, clinics, hospitals, power supply, public health Engineering, Fire Service etc.

All government and banks employees attending offices.

All government officials who have been assigned special duties of Covid-19 management or other emergency services.
