Dimapur Airport to start screening of incoming passengers for Covid

In view of the rapid surge in cases of COVID-19 in several parts of the country, the High Powered Committee (HPC) on COVID-19, Government of Nagaland, in its meeting has decided for placing teams from District Task Force (DTF) at Dimapur Airport for thermal screening of every incoming passenger and checking if the passenger has a negative report of COVID-19 test done not earlier than 3 days prior to arrival in Nagaland, or if the passenger has completed the COVID-19 vaccination, and whether he/she has installed and registered in the COVID Nagaland Visitors App and submitted the ‘Self Declaration Form’ giving the travel details as well as the location where it is proposed to do home/ paid quarantine as envisaged under the provisions of the SOP dated 25/11/2020 for anyone entering the State, a copy of which is enclosed herewith for reference, said an official notification.

Further, special attention may be given to people coming from any of the 11 states with the highest COVID-19 active cases in the country as on 05/04/2021 namely – Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Kerala, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Delhi, said the official statement.

The details of such persons be immediately shared with the respective DTFs where such persons propose to do their home/ paid quarantine in case they are coming without a negative report of COVID-19 test or proof of having completed COVID-19 vaccination so that adherence to the provisions of the aforesaid SOP is strictly ensured, the notification added.
