DoNER Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia Visits Manipur, Chaired Comprehensive Review Meeting

Ukhrul, April 17: Union Minister for Communications and the Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, arrived in Imphal today for a brief visit. He was received at the Imphal International Airport by Chief Secretary Dr. P.K. Singh and other senior state officials.

During his visit, Minister Scindia chaired a comprehensive review meeting at Raj Bhavan, attended by Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla, officials from the DoNER Ministry, and other state representatives.

In a Twitter post following the meeting, he stated, “Progress for Manipur! I chaired a comprehensive review meeting with Hon’ble Governor Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla and explored ways to further harness Manipur’s unique strengths in tourism, sports, handloom, and infrastructure development. We also reviewed the state’s comparative and competitive advantages to identify areas where Manipur can lead with innovation. I am confident that the DoNER Ministry will serve as a proactive facilitator in unlocking new opportunities and accelerating the state’s growth and development.”

The Union Minister expressed his delight in meeting the Governor and reported on the valuable discussions held, reaffirming their commitment to advancing Manipur’s development and empowering its youth.

Minister Scindia departed for New Delhi at around 5:30 PM.
