Ukhrul, November 3: FashionTV (FTV) has officially announced its entry into Imphal, Manipur, marking a new chapter in the region’s growing fashion and creative industry. The initiative aims to nurture local talent, create sustainable career opportunities, and stimulate economic growth through skill-based training and professional exposure.
Speaking at the event, Bhomechand Khaba, Managing Director of BK Events & Entertainment, said that FTV’s arrival in Imphal will open doors for aspiring models, makeup artists, and fashion enthusiasts from the state to gain international-level training and placement opportunities.

He further added that the collaboration will empower the youth to pursue careers in the beauty, fashion, and entertainment industries while staying rooted in Manipur.
The Program Director shared that FTV launched its first batch of training programs at its Dimapur branch in May 2025, with all trainees successfully placed in reputed companies. Admissions for the second batch will open in November 2025, while registration and counseling for aspirants from Imphal will take place at the BK Events & Entertainment office, located at Mantripukhri, Mercy Lane, near UCO Bank, Imphal, Manipur.
FTV officials from Dimapur, led by NG Ngashangam, proprietor of the FTV Dimapur branch, along with Ellen Lam, professional makeup artist, and Viliho Assuhi, academy counsellor, attended the Imphal event. Following the signing of an official agreement, a career guidance and counseling session was conducted, moderated by Bhomechand Khaba.
More than 20 enthusiastic youth job seekers took part in the event held at Hotel Imphal by Classic, many expressing renewed optimism and inspiration after interacting with the FTV team.
The launch marks a significant step toward positioning Manipur as a rising hub for fashion, beauty, and creative excellence in Northeast India.
