UKHRUL/KAMJONG: Four Tangkhul Naga civilians were reportedly killed at Pilong village, a remote village in Kamjong district on Thursday, with sources alleging the involvement of suspected cadres of the Kuki National Army-Burma (KNA-B).
According to reliable sources, five Tangkhul Naga civilians were present in the village when armed men reportedly surrounded them. One of them, Akhan Kaping of Ukhrul, managed to escape and later reported the incident.

The reported victims have been identified as Phami Jajo and his father, Vareshim Jajo, both of Kangpat Khullen, along with Betterson Jajo of Kangpat Khunou and Ningthem of Zingsui. All four were villagers of Pilong, according to the sources.
Sources said gunshots were heard in the area at around 4:30 pm.
The bodies of the four victims had not been recovered as of the time of filing this report, reportedly due to the remote location of the incident near border pillars 91 to 93 in the Kangpat area.
