Calling out the Indian government’s “rigid support” towards the chief minister of Manipur, terming it the “N Biren Singh led Taliban style government of Manipur — systematic carrying out of ethnic cleansing and bloodshed on the Kuki-Zo tribes by the state of Manipur — KIT said it is deeply painful and horrifying on the part of the Union government for “allowing the sons and daughters of the Kuki-Zo bravehearts who led and fought alongside Netaji against the British colonial power and played a pivotal role in the national freedom movement to be tortured, raped and beheaded publicly.”

Further, the KIT maintained that the words expressed by the general secretary of ITLF, Muan Tombing is neither his mere opinion nor ITLF’s, but the voice of the suppressed Kuki-Zo Indians.

“It is the voice of those who are desperately longing for equality, human rights, and self determination seeking a piece of justice within the purview of Indian Constitution which they have been deliberately deprived of after 76 years of the so called INDIA’S INPEPENDENCE,” KIT stated.
