First Round of Training Concludes for Polling Officers Ahead of Bishnupur LS Elections

Bishnupur (DIO): The first round of training for presiding and polling officers I in connection with the ensuing General Elections to the 18th Lok Sabha, 2024 for Bishnupur district concluded today.

The training was held in two different sessions morning and afternoon at four different venues namely Panchayat Resource Centre (PRC) of Mini Secretariat Complex and three halls of C.I College, Bishnupur.

More than 500 officials were trained today i.e on the second and last day of training. Altogether, more than 700 officials were trained in the first round of training which started yesterday.

Shri Rishikanta Loitongbam MCS, ARO, Bishenpur AC, Shri S. Indrajit Singh, MCS, ARO Nambol AC & Oinam AC, Shri M. Suranjoy Singh, MCS, ARO Moirang AC & Kumbi AC and Shri M. Ricky Singh, Jr. BDO, ARO Thanga AC were the overall in charge of the training.

The officials were briefed about their roles and responsibilities with respect to the conduct of election. The training also seeks to ensure that election officials are prepared to conduct free, fair and transparent election.
