Four Arrested in Bishnupur District with Arms and Ammunition

Bishnupur: Manipur Police on March 26, 2024, conducted a successful operation leading to the arrest of four individuals along the IV Road, Moirang Thoya to Tronglaobi area in Bishnupur District. According to Manipur Police, the arrested individuals have been identified as follows:

  1. Salam Rameshwor Singh (48 years old)
  2. Tongbram Gyanjit Singh, also known as Chinglensana (39 years old) – UNLF(K) cadre
  3. Pukhrem Ingocha Singh (40 years old)
  4. Thokchom Temba, also known as Wakheiba (50 years old) – UNLF(K) cadre

During the operation, the police recovered the following items from their possession:

  • 3 SLR Rifles with 4 empty magazines
  • 20 live rounds of ammunition
  • 7 Mobile Phones
  • 1 Baofeng Walkie Talkie Set
  • 2 cars, bags, and other items

A case has been registered, and further investigations are underway to gather more details about the arrested individuals and their activities. The successful operation reflects the vigilance and commitment of Manipur Police in maintaining law and order in the region.
