Four Drug Peddlers Arrested in Meghalaya

Shillong: Four drug suppliers were arrested with heroin from Umsohsun in Shillong today.

Three of the arrested persons were women.

They have been identified as Altima Khatun (27), Gulasha Begum (30) and Jumila Khatun (28) and Suraj Masih (25), police said.

Two soap boxes containing suspected heroin weighing 19.4 gms, five mobile phones and cash amounting Rs 81,610 were seized from their possession.

A case has been registered with the Sadar police station and investigation of the case is in progress, they said.
