Full to Partial Scholarship Programme for Deserving IAS Aspirants in Manipur; ALS Satellite Center in Ukhrul

For selected candidates, training will commence from November 8, 2021, for PRELIMS 2022 attempt in five authorised ALS IAS VSAT learning centres in Imphal, Churachandpur, Ukhrul, Senapati and Tamenglong.

The Super IAS 500 selection examination for Chief Minister Scholarship Scheme for deserving and talented Civil Service Aspirants is all set for October 24 at 11 AM.

Exam venue will be in Imphal, Churachandpur and Ukhrul. Result of the same will be announced on October 27.

Manipur chief minister had officially made the announcement of Chief Minister Scholarship Scheme for Civil Service Aspirants (based on Manipur Reservation Roster List) on September 28 at a function held at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Imphal joined by Education Minister Sorokhaibam Rajen.

Scholarship worth 2.80  crore for face-to-face IAS coaching under the scholarship scheme for civil services aspirants will be provided under government of Manipur, Department of University & Higher Education in association with ALS Satellite Education.

The scholarship scheme will have 1.10 crore for VSAT (a satellite communication system) IAS coaching under ALS IAS CSR initiative for the youth of Manipur.

A total of 500 IAS aspirants will have the opportunity to enroll to scholarship worth 3.90 crore. The top 200 selected aspirants will undergo face-to-face IAS coaching by the best IAS mentors from Delhi at state academy of training in Imphal.

Free of cost registration will close on October 17. Application forms have been made available online since October 4.

CM N Biren had recently expressed satisfaction on the selection of six candidates from Manipur in the Civil Service Examination, 2020 conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The six from the state are, Parikshit Thoudam (AIR-60), Waikhom Nydia Devi (AIR-180), Heikrujam Prasanjeet (AIR-578), Kshetrimayum Deepi Chanu (AIR-621), Hatchinghoi Haokip (AIR-673) and Lourembam Nelson Mangangcha (AIR-757).

In Ukhrul the Tribal Youth Development Foundation (TYDF) an institution partner of ALS IAS Satellite Education Delhi that provides coaching to the aspirants of UPSC Civil Services and State Civil Services Examination will be the centre in Ukhrul district headquarters.

The centre is located at the Ground Floor, New Building, St. Joseph College Alungtang, Ukhrul, Manipur.

The proprietor of TYDF said, the teaching mode in the institution is through live V-Sat class that is transmitted directly from actual class session of ALS IAS Coaching classes that takes place in New Delhi. In addition, students are provided with same reading materials as provided to our students in Delhi. Another important feature of the coaching course is the weekly or regular mock test that takes place with similar UPSC questions design and pattern. He added that, ALS IAS Satellite Center in St. Joseph College Alungtang, Ukhrul has been smoothly running since 2019.

The center was inaugurated by the then Education Minister of State Radheyshyam Singh.
