NEW DELHI: Fifty Phtographs of Argentina by Argentine-Israeli photographer Pablo Katilervsky are on display at Sameksha Gallery, 60 Deendayal Upadhyaya Marg, New Delhi.

Speaking on the occasion, Argentine ambassador to India, Mariano Agustin Caucino, said Argentina is the eighth largest country in the world but its population is less than 50 million, and is mostly concentrated in capital Buenos Aires. Because of its sheer size, the nation has a huge climatological and ecological diversity. He invited people to enjoy the exhibition and visit the country. There was free flow of Malbec wine and dulce de leche desserts on the occasion.

Through ‘Glimpses of Argentina,’ photographer Pablo Katilervsky invites viewers on a journey across the landscapes, textures and quiet rhythms of his homeland. Each image unfolds as a moment of encounter between people and place, memory and movement, light and shadow. Katilervsky’s practice captures not only the visual diversity of Argentina but also an intimate sense of belonging that permeates everyday life.

The exhibition offers a mosaic of scenes that span the country’s varied geographies from the still expanses of Patagonia to the vibrant pulse of Buenos Aires; from mountain villages to coastal horizons. Rather than presenting fixed views, these photographs open windows into layered experiences where history, culture and nature intertwine. His lens engages with both the monumental and the mundane, revealing Argentina’s quiet poetry through gestures, atmospheres and conversation with the land.

In bringing ‘Glimpses of Argentina,’ to Indian audiences, Sameksha gallery continues its commitment to building cultural bridges through art.

Katilervsky’s images remind us that to glimpse is to dwell momentarily in another’s perspective to pause, to feel, and to understand. His photographs are not merely representation but resonant  reflections of place and presence inviting us to witness Argentina not as a distant country but as an unfolding conversation between humanity and landscape. The show will continue till December 7.
