Governor-designate Ajay Kumar Bhalla Arrives in Nagaland, Swearing-in on August 25

Dimapur, August 23: Nagaland Governor-designate, and Manipur Governor, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, landed at Dimapur Airport in Nagaland today.

Commissioner Secretary to the Governor, Raj Bhavan, Kohima, Nagaland, K. Thavaseelan, has informed that the swearing-in ceremony of the Governor of Nagaland is scheduled on August 25 (Monday) at Raj Bhavan, Kohima, at 10:30 am.

Ajay Bhalla was received by Nagaland Chief Minister, Dr. Neiphiu Rio, and his ministerial colleagues Metsubo Jamir, Minister, RD, SIRD; Zhaleo Rio, Advisor, Urban Development & Municipal Affairs; H. Tovihoto Ayemi, Advisor, Tribal Affairs & Election; K. Tokugha Sukhalu, Advisor, Food & Civil Supplies, Legal Metrology; Kazheto Kinimi, Advisor, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services; and Imkongmar, Advisor, Minority Affairs, Sericulture.

Government officials headed by Chief Secretary, Sentiyanger Imchen; Director General of Police, Rupin Sharma; Home Commissioner, Abhijit Sinha; Commissioner Secretary, Raj Bhavan, K. Thavaseelan; Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, Aotula Imchen; and DC, Chumoukedima, Polan John, NCS, were also present at Dimapur Airport to receive the Governor.

On his arrival, the Governor was honoured with a Rashtriya Salute (Guard of Honour) from the 15th Mahila NAP (IR).
