After an in-patient woman and two of her daughters attending her tested positive for COVID-19, Moreh hospital, the only government healthcare centre in Manipur border town located at Indo-Myanmar border has been sealed with immediate effect on Sunday.
Official reports said that the ailing woman was tested first when she was admitted to the hospital for medical treatment on Saturday. After she was tested positive, the two daughters attending her in the hospital were also tested positive for COVID-19.
The mother has been shifted to a Covid care facility in Imphal for further treatment as she has multiple health issues while her daughters were admitted to a Covid care facility in the border town.
To contain further spread of the viral infection in the border town, Tengnoupal district administration has sealed the only healthcare centre in the border town, reports said.
Steps to test all staff members of the hospital including doctors and nurses and in-patients were taken up, the report added.
The locality of the mother and daughters was also declared as a containment zone by the district administration.
