Hospital technician among 14 fresh COVID-19 cases reported in Manipur

NNN | IMPHAL, July 20: A technician of Regional Institute of Medical Science (RIMS) hospital was among the 14 fresh cases of COVID-19 detected in Manipur on Monday. Ten out of the 14 new COVID-19 cases reported in the last 24 hours in Manipur were from Thoubal district.
Including 14 new cases, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Manipur rose to 1952 on Monday as per sources from the Health department. 605 are active cases and 1320 are recovered cases. The recovery rate is 68.57 percent in Manipur, a report of the COVID-19 Common Control Room said.

The report showed that 85 persons were discharged on Monday.
Meanwhile, with the recovery rate improving in the State, three districts –Noney, Pherzawl and Tengnoupal – have no active cases as they recorded 100% recovery rate on Monday.

The latest update data of the state Health department showed “nil active cases” of COVID-19 in Noney district as all the 25 infected persons of COVID-19 were cured and discharged from the Covid care centres. Likewise, Pherzawl recorded 32 cases of COVID-19 and 14 in Tengnoupal district.

Meanwhile, including 667 samples tested in the last 24 hours, a total of 71,703 samples were tested for COVID-19 in the State so far.
