A day after Hunphun Village Authority’s letter of feast invitation to Manipur chief minister, N Biren Singh on his visit on September 20, the HVA in a another letter today cancelled the invitation with deep regret.

HVA has also in today’s letter said, it rescind the decision of welcoming the Go To Hills 2.0 programme scheduled on September 20 to express solidarity and support to the demands of the tribal community of Manipur under Article 371 (C).

HVA letters of Wednesday also drew backlash over the title “‘Pu’ N Biren Sing.” ‘Pu’ is an alien word in Tangkhul dictionary for addressing dignitaries.
