Hyundai Creta for six Autonomous District Councils (ADCs)

Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh on Saturday distributed vehicles to six Autonomous District Councils (ADCs) at a function held at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Imphal. 

All together eighteen vehicles were distributed. Three vehicles each for ADC Chandel, Churachandpur, Kangpokpi (Sadar Hills), Senapati, Tamenglong and Ukhrul.

Speaking on the occasion, N. Biren Singh stated that the vehicles were distributed to the ADCs keeping in view the importance of proper functioning at grass root level for the inclusive development of the State. He also informed that the Government would try to conduct the election to the ADCs of six hill districts as soon as possible.

It may be mentioned that the vehicles were procured by the Department of Tribal Affairs and Hills through Government-e-Marketplace(GeM).

Tribal Affairs and Hills Minister Vungzagin Valte, Education, Fisheries and CADA Minister  Sorokhaibam Rajen, MLAs, top civil officials and representatives of the ADCs also attended the function.
