ICFAI Tripura Joins Hands with Troy University, USA for Global Academic Ties

Agartala: Strengthening its global outreach, ICFAI University Tripura signed an MoU with Troy University, USA on 5th March 2025 for various academic collaborations.

According to a press release issued by the University, the partnership aims to integrate an international, intercultural, and global dimension into teaching and learning processes to enhance globalized education. The MoU paves the way for joint research initiatives and various student and faculty exchange programmes between the two institutions.

As part of this collaboration, Dr. Suman Kumar, Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Troy University, USA, visited ICFAI University Tripura on 20th March 2025. During his visit, he attended an interactive session with faculty members and students, addressing various aspects of higher education and research opportunities in the USA. “The students were immensely benefitted by clearing their queries from Dr. Kumar,” the press release stated.

The initiative stems from the efforts of Prof. (Dr.) Biplab Halder, Vice Chancellor of ICFAI University Tripura, who attended the NAFSA Annual Conference & Expo in the USA and visited Troy University. He also visited several other universities across Washington D.C., New York, Harrisburg, Troy, and Atlanta to explore international collaborations for the university.

“This international prospect is a result of the active initiative of the Vice Chancellor,” the university said. With this collaboration, ICFAI University Tripura marks another milestone in its journey towards providing quality global education, the release added.
