Imphal: With the three-day meeting of the Business20 (B20) of the G20 dialogue forum for the global business community in Imphal concluded, the delegates on Sunday left Imphal for New Delhi.
On the last day of the three-day stay in Manipur, the delegates visited Ima Keithel, the iconic all-women-run market in the heart of Imphal and the historic Kangla Fort.
The delegates were surprised to see the role of women during the visit at the all-women-run market.
They termed the probably only all-women-run market in the globe as the symbol of women empowerment.

Women vendors of the iconic market presented local made items while extending their warm welcome to the visiting delegates.
On day two, the delegates enjoyed the scenic beauty of the Loktak Lake, one of the largest freshwater lakes in South Asia, besides some other historically significant places and tourist spots of the state.
Over 100 delegates from G20 member countries attended the B20 meeting of the G20 dialogue forum for the global business community held in Imphal’s City Convention in Imphal.
The first day of the three-day meeting discussed opportunities for multilateral business partnership in communications technology (ICT), tourism, healthcare and handlooms.

Delegates from Australia, Argentina, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Chad, Canada, China , France, Greece, Ghana, Iceland, Japan, Nepal, Russia, Seychelles, Singapore, South Africa, Switzerland, Tunisia, Togo, Uganda, United States participated in the event.
Delegates from Overseas Trade Delegation – Bhutan Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Asia Supporting Organization, APO, Japan, India-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Bilateral Organisation – Indian Association of Japan, Indo Icelandic Business Association were among the participants.

Besides, diplomats/ambassadors from the Embassy of The Republic of Tunisia, High Commissioner – Bangladesh High Commission, High Commissioner- High Commission of the Republic of Seychelles, New Delhi, Deputy Head of Mission – Embassy of Iceland, Chargé d’Affaires /Head of Mission – High Commission of Togo in India were part of the B20 event.
The B20 is a group that represents the private sector within the Group of 20 (G20) Forum. This organization was created to provide a platform for the business community to engage with the G20 and to offer recommendations on policies that can support global economic growth and development.
