India Men’s Hockey Lose To Belgium in Semis; Women’s Hockey enters Semis

India men’s hockey team took a hard hit and lost against Belgium 5-2 in semifinals at the ongoing Tokyo Olympics. India men’s hockey team will now play for the bronze medal.

In a tweet by Prime Minister Modi earlier today, “Wins and losses are a part of life. Our Men’s Hockey Team at #Tokyo2020 gave their best and that is what counts. Wishing the Team the very best for the next match and their future endeavours. India is proud of our players.”

Meanwhile, India women’s hockey team has entered semifinals for the first time after defeating Australia 1-0 on Monday. Australia is three-time world champion and currently world no. 2 in women’s hockey.
