InQuiztive 2024: Oriental Academy Wins Top Honours at Chandel Inter-School Competition

Chandel: The 5th edition of InQuiztive, the All Chandel Inter-School Competition, was successfully held at the Multi-Purpose Hall of the DC Office Complex, Chandel, on Friday. Organised by Wisecrabs, the annual event saw participation from over 470 students representing 14 schools from across the district.

The event was graced by prominent guests, including Col. Abhimanyu Singh (Commandant, 21 Assam Rifles), Mayanglambam Rajkumar IAS (Deputy Commissioner, Chandel), and Shivanand Surve IPS (Superintendent of Police, Chandel). The presence of other distinguished guests and judges such as Ts Chamna Anal MPS (Addl SP), Sneh Lata Mishra, Meghna, and Bd Maria (Assistant Professor, United College, Lambung), Sweety Roel (Asst Prof, South East Manipur College), Kiran (Teacher, JNV Chandel), and Major Anupam (21AR) supported the occasion as judges.

In the Quiz competition, Aaron Jhohrin Khumlo and Rimsson Kiriiti from Oriental Academy clinched the top prize, while Hmanningam Ruwndar and Koningam Hrangbung of Little Pearls School secured second place. Piiyush Kumar and Hannah Daryal of Koinonia Training School finished third.

The Debate competition saw Mothangam Hulang and Macbeth Moses of St. Peter’s Higher Secondary School emerge victorious, narrowly defeating Ngamhring and Kamihring of Little Pearls School. Angelene Aphavaar Chinir and Abigail Ringthar of South East Manipur Higher Secondary School took the third spot.

In the Spelling Bee competitions, Ajay Poudel of Little Pearls School won the Class III & IV category, followed by Drew Chimeme of Koinonia Training School in second and Shuthawar Pashel of St. Peter’s Higher Secondary School in third. In the Class V & VI category, Mihrin Khumlo of Koinonia Training School claimed first place, while Ps Kathana of Theophany Christian Academy and St Changdehrin of Koinonia Training School took second and third places, respectively. Vachangni of St. Peter’s Higher Secondary School won the Class VII & VIII category, with Sengul Khihmanna of Little Pearls School and Serbum Chris Moyon of St. Peter’s Higher Secondary School finishing second and third, respectively.

The Drawing competition winners in the Nursery & KG category were Ngamthawar Langhu of Koinonia Training School (1st), Angningson Runlel of Little Pearls (2nd), and Bd Khininghman of Little Pearls (3rd). In the Class I & II category, Somya Amit Mane of Assam Rifles Public School won first place, with Srija Mandal and Leaphring Huten of Little Pearls finishing second and third.

The Poem Recitation contest saw Nimshimwon Shimrah and Lucky Shelringwar of Phaldon Primary School taking the top two spots in Class I. In the Class II category, Phungtha Tongsin of Little Pearls School won first place, followed by Lydia Langhu of St. Theresa and Neningam Seltun of Koinonia Training School in second and third places, respectively.

Seltun Notha of Little Pearls School won the Elocution competition, while Ngamhring Hralhu Anal of Anallon Christian Institute and Christina of St. Peter’s Higher Secondary School secured the second and third spots, respectively.

In a special recognition, Assam Rifles Public School, Pallel, was awarded the Best Disciplined School during the closing ceremony.

The event provided a platform for students from Chandel district to upscale their talents and compete in a variety of intellectual and artistic events, which will inculcate a spirit of healthy competition and learning among schools.
