The State unit of the BJP took Manipur to the stage of the 7th International Yoga Day at its office headquarters at Nityaipat Chuthek today.
The genesis of the International Yoga Day can be traced to the resolution taken by the United Nations on December 11, 2014 to observe June 21 every year as the International Yoga Day. Since then, the day has been observed at the international level from 2015.
Led by Chief Minister N Biren, the day was observed with BJP spokesperson and in charge of Manipur, Sambit Patra, Works Minister Th Biswajit, well known international boxer L Sarita and other BJP leaders.

“We may not be able to practise Yoga everyday given the hectic lifestyle of today, but it is important that everyone practices it at least 3/4 times a week,” exhorted the Chief Minister.
