The Joint Action Committee for Protection of Liangmai Ancestral Land (JACPLAL) will impose “indefinite total chakka bandh” along the IT Road from the midnight of February 20, 2021.

“This democratic agitation is initiated as the Kangpokpi district administration has failed to withdraw 144 CrPC imposed in Thonglang Atongba jurisdiction since January 19, 2021 without any valid reason,” said the JACPLAL on Friday.

The JACPLAL then appealed for co-operation from the public, and in the same time, expressed its regret for the inconvenience caused.
