Junior National Micro Futsal Championship 2025: Manipur U16 Boys Clinch Runners-Up Trophy

UKHRUL, NOVEMBER 29: The Manipur U16 Boys Team clinched the Runners-Up Trophy at the 17th Junior National Micro Futsal Championship 2025 held from November 26 to 28 in New Delhi, Manipur Soccer Futsal Association (MANISFA) stated.

In an electrifying final match, the Manipur U16 boys displayed exceptional skill and determination but narrowly fell to Assam, with a final score of 1-2.

Manipur took an early lead with a brilliant goal by Kongbrailatpam Ronic Sharma in the 3rd minute of the first half. However, Assam bounced back with two goals in the second half, both scored by M Nganthoiba Singha in the 6th and 9th minutes, securing their victory.

Manipur players Chingsubam Shital Singh and  Kongbrailatpam Ronic Sharma were  awarded Best Disciplined Player of the Tournament and  Best Player in the U16 Category, respectively. 

Meanwhile, MANISFA president Yambem Arun Meetei congratulated the U16 boys, Coach Laishram Loken, Manager Kongbrailatpam Rabichandra Sharma and the entire team for their outstanding performance, sportsmanship and relentless determination throughout the championship.
