K. Premson Monsang Appointed to Jr Admin Grade (Telecom); Monsang Officers’ Assn sends congratulatory message

Ukhrul, Jan 16: The Governor of Manipur has appointed K. Premson Monsang, MPTS, Addl. SP (Telecom), to the position of Junior Administrative Grade (Telecom) in the Manipur Police Telecommunication Organisation (MPTO). The appointment, effective immediately, follows the recommendation of the Departmental Promotion Committee meeting held on December 31, 2024, chaired by the Chief Secretary of the Government of Manipur.

Under the Manipur Police Telecommunication Service Rules (MPTS), 2015, and in accordance with Rule 28 (c), K. Premson Monsang has been promoted to the Junior Administrative Grade (Telecom) at Level 14 in the Pay Matrix of the Manipur Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2019. His new salary will be in the range of Rs. 78,800 to Rs. 2,09,200 per month, along with other admissible allowances.

As per the order, K. Premson Monsang will be on probation for a period of two years. This appointment marks a historic moment, as he becomes the first Monsang and Naga officer in the MPTS to hold the Junior Administrative Grade position within the MPTO.

The Monsang Officers’ Association hailed the promotion as a landmark achievement. The MOA expressed immense pride and joy in K. Premson’s accomplishment, stating it as “a proud moment for the Monsang Officer’s Association (MOA) in particular and the Monsang Tribe in general”. In a release, the MOA extended its heartfelt congratulations to Premson Monsang and wished him the best of luck in his future endeavours.
