Kamjong DFO hands over rescued Mongoose to Manipur Zoo

The DFO of Kamjong Forest Division, S W Suisa formally handed over a rescued mongoose to the authority of Manipur Zoological Garden.

The animal which is one of the endangered species, was formally received by IFS, CF/ Eastern Forest Circle, K S Tawmbing in Kamjong district headquarters on Tuesday.

Subsequently, DFO Kamjong, S W Suisa handed over the rescued animal to the director of the state zoological garden at Iroisemba in Imphal.

The mongoose was rescued by a social activist, S D Phareipam from a forest area in between Pilong and Skipe villages under Kamjong district recently.
