Kohima to go under Lockdown

UT News Service | Kohima, July 23: The Office of the Deputy Commissioner Kohima has issued orders for a complete lock-down of the Kohima Municipal Area under Kohima Sadar Jurisdiction effective July 25 till July 31. The decision on lockdown was decided by the District Task Force (DTF) Kohima emergency meeting on 23 July 2020.

The lockdown prohibits public movement – maximum number of people allowed is 20. Public gathering, marriages, funeral related gathering to ensure social distancing.

Shops to remain closed, except for pharmacies outside the sealed area.

Religious places and congregation strictly prohibited.

Movement of all commercial and private vehicle prohibited.

Inter state, inter district and inter village movement is restricted, except for medical emergencies essential goods and services with proper safety measures will be allowed stated the order.
