Konsakhul VA files Complaint Report against Kamang Lhouvum and his associates

Kangpokpi: The Konsakhul (Konsaram) Village Authority headed by the village chairman D. Adam Liangmai has filed a complaint report against Kamang Lhouvum, chief of Henjang village to the Superintendent of Police, Kangpokpi District on Monday.

The complaint report countering the 21 Kuki villages in kangpokpi district led by Kamang Lhouvum said it threatened to block Konsakhul village road which is the only lifeline of more than 35 villages.

Authorities of 21 villages in Kangpokpi district in a press-meet on April 8 had demanded an apology from the chairman of Konsakhul village, D. Adam Liangmai giving him an ultimatum of three days [until April 12]  to apologise failing which the 21 villages had warned of blocking off Konsakhul village road.

“As it is a direct threat to our right to life which is guaranteed under the Constitiution of India and such provocative statement has the potential to escalate communal flare up and bloodshed in the region,” the complaint report told Kangpokpi SP.

Konsakhul VA while requesting the Kangpokpi SP to register an FIR against Kamang Lhouvum and his associates under Sapormeina Police Station also requested the SP to initiate necessary action as per law of the land and for the end of justice.
