Ukhrul: The Lamkang Kurchuknao Kunpun (LKK) extends its congratulations to the athletes from the Lamkang community for their remarkable performance at the 1st National Sarit-Sarak Championship 2024. The event, organized by the Sarit-Sarak Federation of India, took place from May 17 to May 19 at the Akhil Mahasabha Auditorium in Mandir Marg, New Delhi.

LKK expressing pride over the outstanding success achieved under the expert guidance of Coach Rengwar Jangvei from Thamlapokpi village, wishes all the athletes continued success and joy as they make their mark in the world of sports.

The following athletes, all from Thamlapokpi who won medals in their respective categories:

  • Kolarson Sankhil, Style One: Gold Medal
  • Darshingwar Kangten (49kg), Style Two: Gold Medal
  • Elwin Tholung (57kg), Style One: Silver Medal
  • Worngam Jangvei (49kg), Style One: Silver Medal
  • Chuimi Jangvei (50kg), Style One: Bronze Medal

“These athletes have not only showcased their exceptional skills and dedication but have also brought immense pride to the Lamkang community. Their achievements serve as an inspiration to aspiring athletes and highlight the incredible talent within the community,” stated LKK, while it expressed special thanks to Coach Rengwar Jangvei for his unwavering support and guidance. “His leadership has been instrumental in the athletes’ success, and it is hoped that he will continue to inspire and mentor young athletes in the future,” Lamkang Kurchuknao Kunpun added.
