In what could be a moment of great jubilation for the students and teaching faculties of his former high school as well as his present institute, lecturer Ningmareo L. Shimray is the lone teacher from Manipur who will be conferred the “National Awards to Teachers, 2021” selected from various other state of India.
The awardee list was issued by G. Vijaya Bhaskar, Director (MDM & NAT), Ministry of Education, department of school education and literacy, Government of India.
He had also congratulated to all the awardee teachers.
Sources said prior to his transferred to UHSS, he was with Model High School Ukhrul from 2007 till 2020.
Currently serving as lecturer at Ukhrul Higher Secondary School, Ningmareo is the only recipient from Manipur state out of the 44 awardee selected from various State of India for the National Awards.
President, Ram Nath Kovind will confer this award to 44 meritorious teachers on Teacher’s Day, September 5.
