Liangmai Naga Baptist Association, Manipur to celebrate 100 years of Christianity; appeals for no bandhs

Imphal, Dec 10: The Liangmai people in Manipur has said it will be celebrating 100 years of “God’s grace, commencing from December 15 and culminating on December 17, 2023, at Tamei headquarters, Tamenglong district. As such, Liangmai Naga Baptist Association, Manipur (LNBA-M) undertook the parental responsibility of organising this celebration in collaboration with different denominations of Liangmai Christians. Hence, this grand event is anticipated to generate a huge traffic movement across all the roads leading to Tamei.“

The Liangmai Christian Centenary Celebration (LCCC) committee in this regard “appeals to all the organizations, associations and other civil bodies especially in the IT-Road and other highways to kindly refrain from announcing any bandhs, blockade, and agitation between December 14 to December 18 anything that can disturb the travel movements in the areas.”

The organizing committee also said, “We appreciate your support and thank you in advance for your understanding. The committee also takes this opportunity to extend our warm invitation to all well-wishers and friends in Christ to come and partake in this blessed celebration.”
