Ukhrul, Feb 14: With the upcoming High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination 2025 just days away, the Liangmai Naga Katimai Ruangdi, Manipur (LNKRM) has expressed deep concern over the future of students in the state. The organisation is particularly focused on ensuring that the Tamei board examination centre operates without bias or additional conditions.

A decade ago, the Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) introduced the Tamei board examination centre, recognizing the necessity for a local exam facility in the remote region. The LNKRM has conveyed its gratitude to the schools and educational institutions in Tamei for their dedication and contributions in nurturing the student community.

In a statement, the LNKRM urged BOSEM to guarantee a fair and smooth examination process in Tamei, emphasising the need for unbiased administration due to the district’s geographical remoteness.

During recent visits to educational institutions in the area, the LNKRM also noted the presence of the D.I. (District Inspector) office attached to Langmei Higher Secondary School, Tamei. The organisation has appealed to the education department and relevant authorities to continue its operations, stating that its presence is crucial for the effective functioning of educational activities in the region.

On January 17, 2025, the LNKRM attended a meeting at the D.I. office in Tamei, during which an order was reportedly issued through the Zonal Education Office (ZEO), Tamenglong. The organization has since urged that all educational matters, including the distribution of books, uniforms, and school materials, be managed through the D.I. office in Tamei to streamline the process for local students.

The LNKRM has called on the concerned authorities to take necessary steps to address these issues and ensure a seamless conduct of the HSLC examination 2025. The organization remains hopeful that the education department will uphold the integrity and accessibility of the examination process for the benefit of students in Tamei and the broader Tamenglong District.
