Lockdown Orders lifted from Tamenglong Ward No. 1-10

Lockdown orders has been lifted from 6 AM Monday in Tamenglong Ward No. 1-10. The order issued by Armstrong Pame, District Magistrate Tamenglong on June 13 mentioned that there is a need to narrow down the area of containment zone while keeping in mind the need to open up economic activities for the people while at the same time ensuring that Mass Testing of selected areas continues as decided by the Medical Team. However containment will be limited to the residential area occupied by the person tested positive.

The District Task Force in this regard held a meeting on June 11 where all the members agreed to wait for the test result of two major colonies in the town area, the order said. In view of all the observations above, containment order was lifted, it added.

Further, the order allows all Medical team to carry out mass testing and vaccination program without any interruption and also to ensure that the low positive rate is maintained throughout.

Market shall remain open from 6:00 AM to 12 PM on daily basis including Women’s market with a condition that all Covid-19 appropriate behaviour and SOPs are followed.

The new order is effective from 6:00 AM of 14 June 2021 until further orders, it said.
