Lui-Ngai-Ni 2023 preparation in full swing in Chandel

Chandel: Lui-Ngai-Ni 2023, the seed sowing festival of the Nagas in Manipur will be celebrated at Kapaam village in Chandel district on February 15.

2023 Lui-Ngai-Ni is organised by the State Level Organising Committee under the aegis of the United Naga Council (UNC). The festival takes place in February and is celebrated to mark the beginning of the new agricultural season.

The festival is celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm, with traditional dances, music, and feasting. The Naga people offer prayers to their ancestors and the gods for a bountiful harvest and a successful agricultural season.
