The MLA urged the Governor to make the DC attend his office at the district headquarters or replace him with another competent officer who could discharge his duties in the interest of the public.

“DCs and all officers deputed at hill districts attend their offices at their respective district headquarters satisfactorily. Whereas, the Deputy Commissioner of Tengnoupal District does not attend his office at the district headquarters. He usually functions in a village bordering Kakching district avoiding public interests. Several complaints had been received from the public pertaining to this matter.”
