Manipur Actor RK Somendro (Kaiku) resigns from BJP party

Imphal: Popular Manipur film actor RK Somendro Singh, better known as Kaiku has put his resignation from the Primary Membership (bearing No. 3055058608) of the BJP Manipur party with immediate effect citing “personal reasons”.

In a letter written to the president BJP Manipur State Adhikarimayum Sharda Devi on Wednesday, Kaiku tendered his resignation urging the party president to accept his resignation.

“I am grateful to the party for all the experiences I had during the period of my membership in the party and I do wish every success of the party in all its future endeavours,” Kaiku stated.

Kaiku had joined the BJP party ahead of the 2022 polls along with 40 other members from the film fraternity in February of 2022. Kaiku was also the vice president of Lok Janshakti Party, Manipur unit.
