Ukhrul, Feb 25: In a shocking development, the Social Science question paper for HSLC Examination 2025 conducted by Board of Secondary Education Manipur, BOSEM, was leaked on WhatsApp half an hour before the exam began on Tuesday.

The leak has sparked outrage among students, parents, and education authorities, raising serious concerns about the security of the state’s examination system. The Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BoSEM) has swiftly reacted to the incident by filing a complaint with the Manipur Cyber Crime Unit, launching an urgent investigation to track down those responsible.

BOSEM Controller of Examinations Ayam Thoi has assured that the Board is leaving no stone unturned in addressing the crisis. He stated that the leak was a deliberate act to tarnish BOSEM’s reputation. He disclosed that the Cyber Crime Police Station is actively investigating and has been instructed to track down and arrest those behind the leak.

He further informed that a meeting of Board officials will be held this afternoon to take major decisions in response to the leak.

During a press conference at DESAM’s Kwakeithel office, Secretary General of the student body, N. Thoithoiba said that the question paper was first shared at 8:31 AM in a WhatsApp group named ‘Inter Football Geography’ from mobile number 986-385-4894. It was circulated again at 8:59 AM in another group called ‘Old Is Gold’, barely a minute before the exam started at 9:00 AM. DESAM has strongly condemned the leak and demanded strict action against those attempting to manipulate the students’ future.
