Manipur CM Y Khemchand Visits Ongoing Construction Site of Imphal Railway Station

IMPHAL: Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Tuesday visited the ongoing construction site of the Imphal Railway Station at Yurembam, Imphal West and took stock of the progress of the much-awaited 111 km long Jiribam-Tupul-Imphal Railway project.

Yumnam Khemchand was briefed by the official of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) on the progress of the construction of Imphal Railway Station and the current status of the Jiribam-Tupul-Imphal Railway project. The official informed the Chief Minister that the Project is targeted to be completed by December, 2028.

The Chief Minister also visited the Tunnel No. 12 site of the Jiribam-Tupul-Imphal Railway project located at Sangaithel and interacted with the concerned officials regarding the progress of the ongoing work.
